Appendix B Error Messages

Cisco MGM Client Error and Warning Messages

Error Message EID-520: Database error: Error occurred while adding the new NE to the database.

Recommended Action A database error occurred while adding the new NE. Verify that the Cisco MGM database is up and running properly. Restart the Cisco MGM client and retry adding a new NE.

Error Message EID-521: Network element description is too long. Restrict the description to 256 characters.

Recommended Action Enter a description that does not exceed 256 characters.

Error Message EID-524: Database error: Cannot set the In-Service time stamp in the database.

Recommended Action A database error occurred while storing the NE’s in-service time stamp in the database. Verify that the Cisco MGM database is up and running properly. Restart the Cisco MGM client and retry.

Error Message EID-525: Database error: Cannot set the Config Mode in the database.

Recommended Action A database error occurred while setting the NE type in the database. Verify that the Cisco MGM database is up and running properly. Restart the Cisco MGM client and retry.

Error Message EID-526: Invalid tree node selected. You cannot perform this operation with the current selection. Select a group or domain node and retry.

Recommended Action Select a group or domain node and retry.

Error Message EID-527: Error occurred while registering with the Cisco MGM event notification subsystem. Exit and restart the application.

Recommended Action Restart the Cisco MGM server and all of the clients. Contact Cisco technical support if the problem persists.

Error Message EID-528: Fatal error occurred while notifying the server_name server of this change. Restart the server and all the clients.

Recommended Action Restart the Cisco MGM server and all of the clients. Contact Cisco technical support if the problem persists.

Error Message EID-529: An error occurred while writing data to the database.

Recommended Action Exit and restart the Cisco MGM client.
