Appendix B Error Messages

Cisco MGM Client Error and Warning Messages

Error Message EID-178: An error occurred while modifying the global MGM configuration. Changes might not be communicated to other MGM clients.

Recommended Action Restart the Cisco MGM client and retry.

Error Message EID-180: An error occurred while starting this service. Verify that this service is installed on the MGM server and retry.

Recommended Action Use the following procedure to verify that the Cisco MGM processes are running:

Step 1 Log into the Cisco MGM server as the root user and enter the following command:

showmgm

Step 2 Contact Cisco technical support with the results of the showmgm command.

Error Message EID-181: An internal state error occurred. Do you want to continue using a default standard configuration?

Recommended Action Click Yes or No; then, continue accordingly. Alternately, reopen the Control Panel window.

Error Message EID-182: An internal state denied the request to read the configuration. Do you want to continue using a default standard configuration?

Recommended Action Click Yes or No; then, continue accordingly. Alternately, reopen the Control Panel window.

Error Message EID-183: An I/O error occurred. Do you want to continue using a default standard configuration?

Recommended Action Click Yes or No; then, continue accordingly. Alternately, reopen the Control Panel window.

Error Message EID-184: An internal protocol error occurred. Do you want to continue using a default standard configuration?

Recommended Action Click Yes or No; then, continue accordingly. Alternately, reopen the Control Panel window.

Error Message EID-185: An internal error prevented the current configuration file from being opened.

Recommended Action An incorrect server configuration appears on the Control Panel window.

Reopen it and verify that the server parameters are correct.
