SETTING THE REMOTE CONTROL TO OPERATE ACCESSORY DEVICES
Direct Access Method
ow that you have looked up
Nthe three-digit Remote Code
Number for your brand of device,										POWER

Place the TV/VCR/ACC						ACC	RECORD	STEREO	MEDIA
Mode Switch in the proper posi-
tion.
Press the VCR RECORD						3
button on the remote control and	VCR

Press the SMART SOUND							SOUND			PICTURE
button on the remote within 30
seconds, then release.							MENU			SURF
Enter the THREE-DIGIT	Satellite Receiver
	or DBS, DVD
REMOTE CODE NUMBER
for your desired device. The
remote is now ready to send
commands to the unit.
Point the remote at the	Cable Converter						VOL			CH
Device. Press the POWER button								MUTE
on the remote to turn the unit
ON.

If, after repeated attempts, the remote
does not work your device, try the
SEARCH METHOD on page 38.
Some Cable Converters can not be
turned ON by a remote control.
