Changing the TV system

Ifyou play back recordings made on a different kind of tape
(forexample, NTSC standard), the automatic TV system
switch-overmay lead to colour interferences. You can switch
offthe ’automatic TV systemswitch-over’ as follows.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu appears.
cSelectthe line ’SPECIAL SETTINGS’ with the P=or
;Pbuttonand confirm with the Pbutton.

eConfirmwith the OK button.
fToend, press the MENU button.
DIfcolour interference still occurs, you can switchto
’B/W’(black and white) in line ’TV SYSTEM’.

Child lock

Thisfunction will prevent unauthorised use of your video
recorder.All button-functions will be locked.
DYoucan make programmed recordings while the
childlock is on.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu appears.
cSelectthe line ’SPECIAL SETTINGS’ with the P=or
;Pbuttonand confirm with the Pbutton.

Keepthe remote control in a safe place.
gIfyou want to switch off the child lock, select ’OFF’in
line’CHILD LOCK’. ’{’ disappears from the video
recorderdisplay.
DIfa button is pressed with activated child lock, ’{’
flashesin the display for a few seconds.
Youmay also activate the child lock with the remote control.
Pressthe STANDBYmbutton on the remote control for a few
seconds,until ’{’ appears in the video recorder display.
Switchthe child lock off in the same way.
