Removing a cassette number
Everycassette is stored with a number in the Tape Manager.
Youcan delete this cassette number from the Tape Manager,
sothat you can use this cassette for special recording
functions(for instance, synchro edit or dubbing). You can
deletecassette numbers that you don’t need anymore to
createspace for new cassettes.
aPressthe TAPEMANAGER buttononthe remotecontrol.
bSelectthe line ’REMOVE A CASSETTE NR.’. Confirm
bypressing P.
cSelectthe cassette you require by pressing the Qor
Pbuttonand press OK .

Copying the Tape Manager memory
Ifyou cannot or do not want to use your video recorder (VCR
A)any more, you can transfer the Tape Manager memory to
anothervideo recorder (VCR B).
DVideorecorder (VCR B) must also be equipped with
theTape Manager. The Tape Manager of VCR B
mustbe empty.
aSwitchoff VCR A and VCR B with the STANDBYmbutton.
Pleasenote, that no cassette is inserted in either one of
themachines.
bConnectthe EXT.1AV 1 socketon VCR A to the
EXT.1AV 1 socket on VCR B.
cOnVCR A, press the RECORDnand PROGRAMME =
buttonsat the same time.
dOnVCR B, press the PLAY Gand PROGRAMME =
buttonsat the same time.
’TM’will appear in the display.
DAsearch symbol will appear in the displaywhile the
informationis being copied. This may take a few
minutes.
eWhenthe transfer is finished, the display will read ’OK’.
DIf’NO E’ appears in the display on VCR B, there are
alreadysome cassettes stored in the TapeManager.
Toend, press the STANDBYmbutton.
DIf’NO D’ appears in the display on VCR B, there are
nocassettes stored in the Tape Manager on VCR A.
Finishwith the STANDBYmbutton.
DIf’ERR.’ appears in the display on VCR B, this means
thatan error was detected during the information
transfer.Repeat the transfer starting with step a.
fWhenthe transfer is finished, both video recorders will
switchoff automatically. Remove the scartcable.
