Manual TV channel search
Incertain cases the ’Automatic TV channel search’ may not be
ableto find all of the TV channels (e.g. coded TV channels). In
thatcase, use this manual method to set the channels.
DWith’Connecting with scart cable and ’Easy
Link/NexTView’the videorecorder automatically
takesthe TV channels from the TV set. This is why
somelines are not functional.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu appears.
cSelectthe line ’INSTALLATION’ with the P=or
;Pbuttonand confirm with the Pbutton.
dSelectthe line ’MANUAL SEARCH’ with the P=or
;Pbuttonand confirm with the Pbutton.

eInthe line ’CHANNEL/FREQ.’, select the display for:
’FREQ.’:frequency
’CH’:channel
’S-CH’:special channel
fIfyou know the frequency or channel of the desired TV
channel,you can enter the data in line
’ENTRY/SEARCH’with the digit buttons 0-9 .
DIfyou don’t know the frequency or channel of the TV
channelof your choice, press the Pbutton to start
thechannel search.
gInthe line ’PROGRAMME NUMBER’ select the
programmenumber you want e.g.: ’01’ with the Qor
Pbutton.
hIfyou want to change the TV channel name, press the
Pbuttonin line ’TV CHANNEL NAME’.
ESelectthe character you want to change with the Qor
the Pbutton.Change the character with the P=or
the ;Pbutton.Select the next character in the same
way.
EKeeppressing the Pbutton until the cursor disappears.
iInthe line ’NICAM’, select funtion ’ON’or’OFF’withthe
Por Qbutton.
jIfyou want to change the automatic tv channel setting,
selectthe line ’FINE TUNING’.
Withthe Qor Pbuttonyou can varythe automatic tv
channelsetting. Important: This re-tuning is only
necessaryand useful in special cases, e.g.: when there
arestripes on the picture with cable-TV systems.
kPressthe OK button to store the TV channel.
DIfyou want to search for further TV channels, start
againat step f.
lToend, press the MENU button.
Satellite receiver
Youcan receive channels from the satellite receiver via the
scartsocket EXT.2 AV 2 .
Todo this, select the channel number ’E2’ by pressing the
buttons ;Por P=.You will have to select the channels to
bereceived by the satellite receiver on the receiveritself.
