Switching the ’on-screen display’ (OSD) onor off
Youcan switch the on-screen display of the current operating
informationon or off.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu appears.
cSelectthe line ’SPECIAL SETTINGS’ with the P=or
;Pbuttonand confirm with the Pbutton.

AUTO.:OSD information appears for a few seconds
eachtime an operating mode is selected and then
disappears.
OFF:OSD information is switched off.
ON:OSD information is switched on.
fConfirmwith the OK button.
gToend, press the MENU button.
DWiththe OK button you can superimpose the
on-screendisplay of current operating mode on the
TVscreen.
Switching to 16:9 wide screen picture
Ifyou are using a cassettewith 16:9 wide screen recordings,
youcan switch this function ’ON’. The TV set will now
automaticallyswitch to wide screen. This only works if you
haveconnected the TV set and the video recorder with a scart
cableand if your TV set is suitable for wide screen.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.

dIfyou have a TV set in wide-screen format, select ’ON’in
line’16:9 WIDE SCREEN’. If not, select ’OFF’.
