Using your video recorder remote controlwith your TV set
Yourvideo recorder remote control can transmit several
commandsto TV sets of different makes.
Byusing the TV buttons on the panel in the middle of the
control,you can:
Sq increasethe TV volume
Sr reducethe TV volume
TVyswitch off sound
TVmswitch off the TV set
TVqnext programme number
TVrprevious programme number
aHoldthe TVmbutton and enter the correct remote
controlcommand with the digit buttons 0-9 .
Youwill find a list of all available remote control
commandson the last page of this manual.
DIfthe selected code does not work with your TV set,
orif the make of your TV is not in the list, you can try
outthe codes one after the other.
Manual audio control
Withthe MANUALbutton you can switch to manual audio
control.
aPressthe MANUALbutton on the video recorder. The
currentselection appears in the display.
bKeeppressing the MANUALbutton until ’MAN’ (manual
audiocontrol) appears in the display.
cWiththe ;Pand P=buttonsadjust the recording
levelso that the ’0 dB’ mark lights up during the loudest
partsof the recording.
DAtstep byou can switch back to ’AUTO.
(automaticaudio control) with the MANUALbutton.
Recording audio only
Youcan use your video recorder as a HiFi tape recorder. You
canrecord the sound from e.g. a HiFi unit or a second video
recorder.
aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPuta cassette in the machine.
DForthis function, use a cassette whose numberis
notstored in the Tape Manager (TM). More
informationon removing the cassette number from
theTape Manager (TM) can be found in the chapter
’TheTape Manager (TM)’.
cUsean audio cable (cinch cable) to connect your HiFi
(stereo)unit with the AUXINL R socket at the back of the
videorecorder.
DYoucan also use the EXT.1AV1 or EXT.2 AV 2
socketsor the front LAUDIOR socketsfor
audio-onlyrecordings.
dSelectthe programme number from which the ’only
audio’recording should be made, using the ;Por
P=button(e.g.: ’AUX’ for the AUX IN L R socket.
ePressthe MENU button. The main menu appears.
fSelectthe line ’RECORDING FUNCTIONS’ with the
P=or ;Pbuttonand confirm with the Pbutton.
gSelectthe line ’AUDIO ONLY’ with the P=or ;P
buttonand confirm with the Pbutton.
hTostart sound recording, press the RECORD/OTR nbutton.
iTostop recording, press the STOPhbutton.
jToend, press the MENU button.
