1

When the VCR is on, press and hold the POWER button on the remote control for more than seven seconds until a dash (-) appears to the right of the clock on the display panel. The power will turn off.

When Child Lock is activated...

The dash (-) will appear on the display panel.

The remote control will still operate your TV or Cable Box/DBS if you have set it to do so. Details are on pages 26-27.

The VCR power will not come on automatically if you insert a tape.

Timer recordings will take place as scheduled. Make sure a tape is in the VCR. Make sure the VCR power is off before the recording’s scheduled start time. The dash (-) will reappear on the display panel when the timer recording is finished.

If you press the POWER button on the VCR to stop a timer recording that is in progress, recording will stop and Child Lock will be reactivated immediately. Pressing the POWER button on the remote control will not affect the timer recording.

2
