Helpful Hints

If ON SCREEN MODE is set to ON or COUNTER:

You may bring up the status dis- play at any time by pressing the EXIT/STATUS button. (The excep- tion is during Slow, Search, or Still mode.) The display will appear for about five seconds.

Channel numbers (when tuned) will appear for a few seconds.

When tape playback is stopped, press the EXIT/STATUS button to see the time, real-time counter, or current channel number on the dis- play panel. During tape playback, press the EXIT/STATUS button to see the time or real-time counter on the display panel. The channel will not appear.

Depending on the type of tape used, the tape time remaining may not appear right away, or may not be correct. Also, “– – :–” may appear, or the display may flash.
