Connecting to a registered
cellular phone
Onceyour phone is registered with this unit it
isa simple matter to establish a Bluetooth
wirelessconnection, either manually by select-
inga registration assignment, or automatically
whena registered phone is within range.

phone manually

Selecta phone from the registration assign-
mentsto connect to the phone manually.
1 TouchPHONE CONNECT on the function
menu.
2 TouchDIRECT CONNECT.
3 Touchthe device name you want to
connect.
Whileconnecting, CONNECTING is flashing.
Ifthe connection is established, CONNECTED
isdisplayed.

Connecting to a registered

phone automatically

WhenAutomatic Connection is active the unit
willautomatically establish a connection with
aregistered phone when it comes into range.
!Ifthis unit fails to find registered phones,
thisunit connects automatically to a phone
registeredas 1(user 1).
!Thisfeature may not work with all phones.
Ifyour registered phone fails to connect
withautomatic connection, use the manual
connectionmethod explained in Connect-
ingto a registered phone manuallyon this
page.
!Withsome cellular phones, you may be re-
quiredto make a confirmation on the cellu-
larphone in connecting to this unit. In
suchcase, the connection may not be
madeuntil you confirm it on the phone
evenif the Automatic Connection of this
unitis set to on. If possible, set your cellu-
larphone to not seeking a confirmation for
theBluetooth connection. For details,
pleaserefer to the operation manual that
camewith your cellular phone.
!Thisfeature is not possible if you are play-
ingback songs on your Bluetooth audio
playervia Bluetooth wirelesstechnology. In
suchcase, stop the playback and switch to
anothersource for your cellular phoneto
connectto this unit through this function.
!Whileyou are operating in the function
menuof Telephone source or BT AUDIO
source,this unit does not initiate an auto -
maticconnection to your registered phone.
!Thisfeature cannot be set for each different
userphone.
%TouchAUTO CONNECT on the function
menuto turn the Automatic Connection
functionon.
Ifyour cellular phone is set ready for Bluetooth
wirelessconnection, the connection to this
unitwill be automatically established.
#Toturn automatic connection off, touch
AUTOCONNECT again.
Using the Phone Book
ThePhone Book can store up to 500 names
andnumbers. Use the Phone Book to browse
fornumbers on the units display and select
numbersto call. Names and phone numbers
storedin a registered user phones address
bookcan be transferred to the Phone Book, al-
lowingyou to fill the Phone Book quickly and
easilywith your contacts.
