1Audiodisplay
Showsthe audio adjustments status.
%PressAUDIO to display the audio func-
tionnames.
PressAUDIO repeatedly to switch between
thefollowing audio functions:
Fad(balance adjustment)EQ (equalizer
curveadjustment)Bass (bass and treble
leveladjustment)Loud (loudness)
Sub-W1(subwoofer on/off setting)/NonFad
(nonfading output on/off setting)Sub-W2
(subwoofersetting)/NonFad (non fading out-
putsetting)HPF (high pass filter)SLA
(sourcelevel adjustment)
#IfEQ-EX function has been selected and only
whenEQ-EX is turned on and CUSTOM is se-
lectedas the equalizer curve, you can switch to
Bass.
#Whenthe subwoofer controller setting is only
PREOUT:FULL, you cannot switch to Sub-W1.

#Youcan select the Sub-W2 only when sub-
wooferoutput is turned on in the Sub-W1.
#Whenthe subwoofer controller setting is only
PREOUT:FULL, you can switch to the nonfading
outputon/off setting. (Refer to page 42.)
#Youcan select the nonfading output setting
onlywhen nonfading output is turned on in the
nonfadingoutput on/off setting.
#Whenselecting the FM tuner as the source,
youcannot switch to SLA.
#Toreturn to the display of each source, press
BAND.
Note
Ifyou do not operate the audio function within
about30 seconds, the display is automatically re-
turnedto the source display.
Compensating forequalizer curves (EQ-EX)
TheEQ-EX function smoothes the effects of
eachequalizer curve. Furthermore, you can
adjustbass and treble for each source when
CUSTOMcurve is selected.
%Pressand hold SW to turn EQ-EXon.
EQ-EXON appears in the display. EQ-EX is
nowon.
#Toturn EQ-EX off, press and hold SW.
#Ifyou do not operate the EQ-EX within about 8
seconds,the display automatically returned to
thesource display.
Using balance adjustment
Youcan select a fader/balance setting that
providesan ideal listening environment in all
occupiedseats.
1 PressAUDIO to select Fad.
PressAUDIO until Fad appears in the display.
#Ifthe balance setting has been previously ad-
justed,Bal will be displayed.
2 Pressaor bto adjust front/rear speak-
erbalance.
Eachpress of aor bmoves the front/rear
speakerbalance towards the front or the rear.
FadF 15 Fad R 15 is displayed as the front/
rearspeaker balance moves from front to rear.
#FadF/R 0 is the proper setting when only two
speakersare used.
