1Functiondisplay
Showsthe function status.
%PressFUNCTION to display the function
names.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly to switch be-
tweenthe following functions:
BSM(best stations memory)Local (local
seektuning)
#Toreturn to the frequency display, press
BAND.
Note
Ifyou do not operate the function within about 30
seconds,the display is automatically returned to
thefrequency display.
Storing and recallingbroadcast frequencies
Ifyou press any of the presettuning buttons
16youcan easily store up to six broadcast
frequenciesfor later recall with the touch of a
button.
%Whenyou find a frequency that you
wantto store in memory press one of pre-
settuning buttons 16 and hold until the
presetnumber stops flashing.
Thenumber you have pressed willflash in the
presetnumber indicator and then remain lit.
Theselected radio station frequency has been
storedin memory.
Thenext time you press the same preset tun-
ingbutton the radio station frequency is re-
calledfrom memory.
Notes
!Upto 18 FM stations, six for each of the three
FMbands, and six AM stations can be stored
inmemory.
!Youcan also use aand bto recall radio sta-
tionfrequencies assigned to preset tuning
buttons16.
Tuningin strong signals
Localseek tuning lets you tune in only those
radiostations with sufficiently strong signals
forgood reception.
1 PressFUNCTION to select Local.
PressFUNCTION until Local appears in the
display.
2 Pressato turn local seek tuning on.
Localseek sensitivity (e.g., Local 2) appears in
thedisplay.
3 Presscor dto set the sensitivity.
Thereare four levels of sensitivity for FM and
twolevels for AM:
FM:Local 1Local 2Local 3Local 4
AM:Local 1Local 2
TheLocal 4 setting allows reception of only
thestrongest stations, while lower settings let
youreceive progressively weaker stations.
4 Whenyou want to return to normal
seektuning, press bto turn local seek tun-
ingoff.
Local:OFF appears in the display.
