2. SCRN SAVER (Screen saver)

When a paused image is displayed for a long period of time, the image may be “burned” onto the screen. On this player, a screen saver function is included in order to prevent screen burn when an image such as a menu screen etc., is continuously displayed for a long time (more than 5 minutes). We recommend that you leave this mode ON.

Lets you select background color for menus and for screen color when no software is playing. You can set R (red), G (green), and B (blue) independently. Setting for each color is possible in 21 steps. Settings: Blue*

This lets you control what your children watch by blocking out undesirable material.

This player lets you use Parental Lock if the disc has a parental code recorded on it. With Parental Lock capable discs, you can skip material you feel is inappropriate for your children. For details, refer 1 to the instructions that come with the disc.

Once you have input a secret 4-digit number, the viewing level (user restriction level) cannot be changed unless the same four numbers are input.

Be sure not to forget your secret number. If you do forget it, return to the initial settings and input the secret number once more. (Page 31)

Setup method

1.Press the ENTER button.

÷The code number input screen is displayed.

2.Input the code number with the number buttons.

3.Select a level between level 1 to 8 with the direction buttons.

4. Press the ENTER button.

÷Viewing restrictions are applied to the disc.

5.On discs where viewing restrictions have been set:

÷The screen shown on the right is displayed when the PLAY button is pressed to start playback. 5

÷Playback will start after the number buttons have been pressed to input the code number on this screen, and the ENTER button has been pressed.
