This feature is useful when you want to put some space at the end of a recording session so that the next recording doesn't start after the last too closely, but use it wherever you need some blank space recorded on the disc. Note that you can’t start a recording with a muted section; only after the recording has started, or at the end of a recording.
1While recording, or in record-pause

The REC indicator starts blinking and a blank space of about four seconds is recorded. The recorder then goes into
