ASSEMBLY
Protective gloves (not provided) should be
worn during assembly.
ATTACHINGTHEBAR & CHAIN (If not
already attached)
WARNING: If received assembled,
repeat all steps to ensure yoursaw is properly
assembled and all fasteners are sec ure. Al-
ways wear gloves when handling the c hain.
Thechain is sharp and can cut y ou even when
it is not moving!
1. Loosen and remove the bar nuts and the
clutchcover from the saw.
2. Remove the plastic shipping spacer (if
present).

3. An adjusting pin and scr ew is used to ad-
just the tension of thec hain.It is v eryim -
portant when assembling the bar, that the
pin located on the adjusting screw alig ns
intoa hole in the bar. Turningthe screw will
move the adjustment pin up and down the
screw. Locate this adjustment before y ou
begin mounting the bar onto the saw. See
following illustration.
