• MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE. Keep tools sharp and clean for best and safest performance.
Follow instructions for lubricati ng and changing accessories.
• DISCONNECT TOOLS before serv icing; when changing accessories, such as blades, bits cutters, and
the like.
• REDUCE THE RISK OF UNINTENTIO NAL ST ARTING. Make sure the switch is in the off posit ion
before plugging in the machine.
• USE RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES. Consult the owner’s manual for recommended accessories.
The use of improper accessories may cause a risk of inj ury.
• NEVER STAND ON A TOOL. Serious injury could occur if the t ool is tipped or if the cutting tool i s
unintentionally contacted.
• CHECK DAMAGED PARTS. Before further use of the tool, a guard or other part that is damaged
should be carefully checked to determine t hat it will operate properly and perform its int ended f unction.
Check for alignment of mov ing parts, binding of mov i ng parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any
other conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or other part that is damaged should be
properly repaired or replaced.
• DIRECTION OF FEED. Feed work into a blade or cutter against the direction of rotat ion of the blade
or cutter only.
• NEVER LEAVE THE TOOL RUNNING UNATTENDED. TURN T HE POWER OFF. Don’t leave the
tool until it comes to a compl et e stop.
• DRUGS, ALCOHOL, MEDICATION. Do not operate this machine while under the infl uenc e of drugs,
alcohol, or any medication.
• HEALTH HAZARDS. Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and other
construction activities contai ns chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other r epr oduc t ive
harm. Some examples of these chem i cals are:
* Lead from lead-based paint.
* Crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products.
* Arsenic and chromium from chem ically-treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, dependi ng on how of ten you do this type of work. To reduce
your exposure to these chemicals, work in a well-v entilated area, and work with approved safety
equipment, such as those dust masks that are specificall y designed to filter out microscopi c par t icles.
