Assembling the Climber

A fish tape (a thin metal strip with a hook or clasp on one end, available from professional hardware vendors) can be helpful during this procedure.

To assemble the main climber mechanism:

1.Place the upright support on a flat work surface.

2.Remove the two hex nuts and washers that secure the handrail clamp, then set them aside.

3.While your assistant holds the heart rate handlebar near the display console, feed the heart rate cable through the opening in the upright support. Pull the end of the cable out through the top of the support and pass it through the opening in the console mount as shown in the following illustration. Place excess cable inside the upright support.

Important: Do not stretch, crimp, or damage the cables. Cables damaged by improper installation will not be covered by the Precor Limited Warranty.
