USING FLASH

Flash performs the electronic equiva- lent of a switchhook operation for spe- cial services, such as Call Waiting.

For example, if you have Call Waiting, press FLASH to answer an incoming call without disconnecting the current call. Press FLASH again to return to the first call.

Note: If you do not have any special phone services, pressing FLASH might disconnect the current call.

USING TONE SERVICES ON A PULSE LINE

Some special services, such as bank- by-phone, require tone signals. If you have pulse dialing, you can still use these special tone services by following these steps.

1.Be sure PULSE/TONE is set to

PULSE.

2.Dial the service's main number.

3. When the service answers, press TONE. Any additional numbers

you dial are sent as tone signals.

4.After you complete the call, return the handset to the base or press TALK. The phone automatically resets to the pulse mode.

USING THE INTERCOM

You can use the TAD-727 as a two-way pager and intercom between the base and handset. This is useful if the hand- set is away from the base and you want to locate it, or if you want to have a con- versation between someone with the handset and someone at the base.

Note: If a call comes in during an inter- com conversation, the person using the handset can answer the call by pressing TALK, but the intercom call is discon- nected.
