2.Press the program/mute button to save. You will hear a confirmation tone, and the selected contrast level displays for two seconds, then SET AREA CODE shows in the display.

AREA CODE

If you enter a 3-digit area code in the area code menu, your local area code does not appear in Caller ID records. Instead, you see only the local seven digit number. Calls you receive from outside your local area code display as the full ten-digit number.

This setting may be made with the base and the handset.

1.Use the touch-tone pad on your base or handset to enter your three digit area code.

2.Press the program/mute button to save. You will hear a confirmation tone and the area, code displays for two seconds, then RINGER TONE 1 2 3 4 5 6 shows in the display.
