BEFORE YOU START
TURNING ON THE PLAYER AND TV
1.Press POWER Gto turn on the player.
2.Turn on the TV.
3.Select the channel on your TV corresponding to the VIDEO IN jack that the player is connected to. See your TV user guide for more information.
4.If you have connected the player successfully, the DVD logo (startup picture) appears on your TV screen.
UNAVAILABLE DISC FUNCTIONS AND OPERATIONS
When appears on the TV screen, the function or operation attempted is not available at that time. This occurs because the DVD manufacturer determines the specific disc functions. Certain functions may not be available on some discs. Be sure to read the documentation provided with the disc.

TITLE, CHAPTER AND TRACKS
DVDs are divided into “Titles” and “Chapters”. If the disc has more than one movie on it, each movie is a separate “Title”. “Chapters” are sections of titles.
Audio CDs are divided into “tracks”. A “track” is usually one song on an audio CD.
Numbers identify each title, chapter, and track on a disc. Most discs have these numbers recorded on them, but some do not.
INSTALLING BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE CONTROL
Your remote control requires two AA batteries (not supplied) for power. Batteries are available at your local RadioShack store or online at www.radioshack.com.

•Do not burn or bury batteries.
•Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.
•Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
•If you do not plan to use the remote control for a month or longer, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage electronic parts.
USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
Point the remote control at the remote sensor located on the player. When there is a strong ambient light source, the performance of the infrared remote sensor may be degraded, causing unreliable operation. The recommended effective distance for remote operation is about 16 feet (5 meters).
