AUDIO SETTINGS

DIGITAL OUT

1.

Repeatedly press FUNCTION until DVD appears.

Press STOP .

to select Digital Out, and then repeatedly press

ENTER to select RAW or PCM.

RAW: Does not have Dolby Digital Decode.

PCM: Has Dolby Digital Decode.

L/R SPEAKER

This selection allows you to select the size of your left and right speakers’ cones for optimal performance.

Repeatedly press FUNCTION until DVD appears.

Press STOP .

Press SETUP.

to select Audio. Press ENTER.

to select L/R Speaker. Press ENTER.

to select Small or Large. Press ENTER.

Small: Speaker cone size diameter is less than five inches.

Large: Speaker cone size diameter is greater than five inches.

7.Press RETURN Dto exit and return to the normal screen.

Notes:

You can adjust the channel balance on your player. See “Adjusting Sound Quality” on page 29.

Included speakers should be set to Small for optimal sound quality.

SUBWOOFER

1.

Repeatedly press FUNCTION until DVD appears.

Press STOP .

to select Subwoofer. Press ENTER.

On: Turns on the Subwoofer.

Off: Turns off the Subwoofer.

SURROUND DELAY

1.

Repeatedly press FUNCTION until DVD appears.

to select Surround Delay, then repeatedly press

ENTER until the desired Surround Delay type (0/15ms, 5/ 20ms, 10/25ms, or 15/30ms) appears.

Notes:

The first number represents the delay in Dolby Digital mode and the second number represents the delay in Dolby Pro Logic mode.

The delay adjustment depends on the location of the surround speakers and the front speakers. If the surround speakers are closer than the front speakers, the delay adjustment can compensate for the difference in distance.

Use the following charts to determine the delay setting. Follow the vertical line for distance to your front speakers, and the horizontal line to your rear(surround) speakers. At the intersection, follow the diagonal line to the delay time..
