While it is not necessary to have a home computer to use the Rio Advanced Digital Audio Center, it is possible to share digital audio files between your home computer and the Rio Advanced Digital Audio Center, and to access the home computer’s hard drive for additional digital audio files via Home Phoneline Networking (Home PNA), Universal Serial Bus (USB) or Ethernet. This is convenient if you already have an extensive music library on your computer and you don’t want to re-record your music CDs onto your Rio Advanced Digital Audio Center.

NOTE: In order for your PC and the Rio Advanced Digital Audio Center to communicate over an Ethernet or HomePNA network, the Allow emplode to connect over network box must be selected on the Enter emplode password screen.

NOTE: To use this option, your PC must have an Home PNA Adapter installed and connected to the phoneline via a standard phone cord.

1.Plug one end of the included Phone Cord into the Phoneline Jack at the back of the Rio Advanced Digital Audio Center.

2.Plug the other end of the Phone Cord into the nearest Wall Jack.
