DESIGN FEATURES

Connections

1.Power LED (Top of unit) – This Blue LED illuminates when the unit is turned on.

2.Thermal LED (Top of unit) – This Red LED illuminates if the amplifier reaches the third stage of thermal protection. The amplifier will shut down to cool if this occurs.

3. Protect LED (Top of unit) – This Yellow LED illuminates if a short circuit or too low of an impedance is detected at the speaker connections. The amplifier will automatically shut down if this occurs.

4.Cast Aluminum Heatsink – The cast aluminum heatsink of the Punch amplifier dissipates heat generated by the amplifier's circuitry.

5.Speaker Terminals – The heavy duty, nickel-plated clamp wire connectors (+ and -) will accept wire sizes from 8 AWG to 18 AWG. Speaker outputs A and B are wired in parallel internally.

6.Remote Bass – Boosts low frequency information to overcome road noise and put the bass in your face. The Remote Bass control is a narrow band adjustment at 45Hz variable from 0dB to +18dB with a Gyrator based Punch EQ that eliminates frequency shift with boost. Connection is made with a RJ-45 cable and can be installed in a variety of ways for easy control access. An optional Para-Punch Remote Bass is available which adds an adjustable center frequency control with the adjustable boost control.

7.Gain Control – The input gain control is preset to match the output of most source units. It can be adjusted to match output levels from a variety of source units.

8.Variable Crossover (P325.1) – Is a built-in 12dB/octave Butterworth filter selectable for High-Pass (HP),All Pass (AP), or Low-Pass (LP) operation variable from 40Hz to 400Hz.

8.Variable Crossover (P600.1 bd) – Is a built-in 12dB/octave Butterworth filter with a crossover point variable from 35Hz to 250Hz.The crossover is set to Low-Pass (LP).

9.RCA Input Jacks – The industry standard RCA jacks provide an easy connection for signal level input. They are nickel-plated to resist the signal degradation caused by corrosion.

10.RCA Pass-Thru Jacks – The Pass-Thru provides a convenient source for daisy-chaining an additional amplifier without running an extra set of RCA cables from the front of the vehicle to the rear amplifier location.

11.REM Terminal – The heavy duty, nickel-plated captive c-clamp wire connector will accept wire sizes from 12 AWG to 24 AWG.This terminal is used to remotely turn-on and turn-off the amplifier when +12V DC is applied.

P325.I, P600..I bd specifications

Rockford Fosgate has long been synonymous with high-performance audio equipment, and their series of amplifiers, namely the P325.1 and P600.1bd, continue to uphold this legacy. Engineered to deliver uncompromising sound quality and powerful output, these amplifiers are ideal for car audio enthusiasts looking to elevate their in-car listening experience.

The P325.1 is a compact monoblock amplifier designed to supply robust power to subwoofers. With a power output of 325 watts RMS at 2 ohms, it strikes an excellent balance between size and performance. This amplifier features a high-pass crossover that can be used to filter out unwanted frequencies, ensuring that your subwoofer receives only the bass it needs to perform optimally. The adjustable subsonic filter further allows users to tune the amplifier according to their specific audio preferences, ensuring clean and powerful bass reproduction.

On the other hand, the P600.1bd ups the ante with a significant power output of 600 watts RMS at 1 ohm, making it well-suited for larger subwoofers or more demanding sound systems. This amplifier incorporates Rockford Fosgate's innovative Class BD technology, which allows for higher efficiency and improved thermal performance. The Class BD design also minimizes distortion at higher volumes, rendering a cleaner sound that preserves the integrity of the audio source. The P600.1bd includes a variable low-pass filter and phase switch, enabling users to fine-tune the soundstage according to their vehicle's acoustics.

Both amplifiers are designed with premium components, featuring a cast aluminum chassis that not only enhances durability but also promotes effective heat dissipation. This is crucial for ensuring the longevity of the amplifiers during prolonged use. Additionally, these models come equipped with RCA inputs, screw-type terminals for easy wiring, and a sleek design that fits seamlessly into any vehicle setup.

In conclusion, the Rockford Fosgate P325.1 and P600.1bd amplifiers are exceptional choices for audio aficionados seeking powerful and precise sound amplification. With advanced technology, customizable settings, and robust construction, they stand out as reliable components for any high-performance car audio system. Whether you are a casual listener or a dedicated audiophile, these amplifiers offer a pathway to an enhanced listening experience on the road.
