INSTALLATION

3.Trim the RED wire (power cable) within 18" of the battery and splice in a inline fuse holder. See Specifications for the rating of the fuse to be used. DO NOT install the fuse at this time.

4.Strip 1/2" from the battery end of the power cable and crimp a large ring terminal to the cable. Use the ring terminal to connect to the battery positive terminal.

5.Prepare the BLACK wire (Ground cable) for attachment to the amplifier by stripping 5/8" of insulation from the end of the wire. Insert the bare wire into the GND terminal and tighten the set screw to secure the cable in place. Prepare the chassis ground by scraping any paint from the metal surface and thoroughly clean the area of all dirt and grease. Strip the other end of the wire and attach a ring connector. Fasten the cable to the chassis using a non-anodized screw and a star washer.

NOTE:Keep the length of the BLACK wire (Ground) as short as possible. Always less than 30"(76.2cm).

6.Prepare the REM turn-on wire for for attachment to the amplifier by stripping 5/8" of insulation from the end of the wire. Insert the bared wire into the REM terminal and tighten the set screw to secure the wire in place. Connect the other end of the REM wire to a switched 12 volt positive source. The switched voltage is usually taken from the source unit's remote amp on lead. If the source unit does not have this output available, the recommended solution is to wire a mechanical switch in line with a 12 volt source to activate the amplifier.

7.Securely mount the amplifier to the vehicle or amp rack. Be careful not to mount the amplifier on cardboard or plastic panels. Doing so may enable the screws to pull out from the panel due to road vibration or sudden vehicle stops.

8.Connect from source signal by plugging the RCA cables into the input jacks at the amplifier.

9.Connect the speakers. Strip the speaker wires 1/2" and insert into the speaker terminal and tighten the set screw to secure into place. Be sure to maintain proper speaker polarity. DO NOT chassis ground any of the speaker leads as unstable operation may result.

10.Perform a final check of the completed system wiring to ensure that all connections are accurate. Check all power and ground connections for frayed wires and loose connections which could cause problems. Install inline fuse near battery connection.

NOTE:Follow the diagrams for proper signal polarity.

CAUTION:These amplifiers are not recommended for impedance loads below 2 .

P325.I, P600..I bd specifications

Rockford Fosgate has long been synonymous with high-performance audio equipment, and their series of amplifiers, namely the P325.1 and P600.1bd, continue to uphold this legacy. Engineered to deliver uncompromising sound quality and powerful output, these amplifiers are ideal for car audio enthusiasts looking to elevate their in-car listening experience.

The P325.1 is a compact monoblock amplifier designed to supply robust power to subwoofers. With a power output of 325 watts RMS at 2 ohms, it strikes an excellent balance between size and performance. This amplifier features a high-pass crossover that can be used to filter out unwanted frequencies, ensuring that your subwoofer receives only the bass it needs to perform optimally. The adjustable subsonic filter further allows users to tune the amplifier according to their specific audio preferences, ensuring clean and powerful bass reproduction.

On the other hand, the P600.1bd ups the ante with a significant power output of 600 watts RMS at 1 ohm, making it well-suited for larger subwoofers or more demanding sound systems. This amplifier incorporates Rockford Fosgate's innovative Class BD technology, which allows for higher efficiency and improved thermal performance. The Class BD design also minimizes distortion at higher volumes, rendering a cleaner sound that preserves the integrity of the audio source. The P600.1bd includes a variable low-pass filter and phase switch, enabling users to fine-tune the soundstage according to their vehicle's acoustics.

Both amplifiers are designed with premium components, featuring a cast aluminum chassis that not only enhances durability but also promotes effective heat dissipation. This is crucial for ensuring the longevity of the amplifiers during prolonged use. Additionally, these models come equipped with RCA inputs, screw-type terminals for easy wiring, and a sleek design that fits seamlessly into any vehicle setup.

In conclusion, the Rockford Fosgate P325.1 and P600.1bd amplifiers are exceptional choices for audio aficionados seeking powerful and precise sound amplification. With advanced technology, customizable settings, and robust construction, they stand out as reliable components for any high-performance car audio system. Whether you are a casual listener or a dedicated audiophile, these amplifiers offer a pathway to an enhanced listening experience on the road.
