If you hold down CLEAR or SHIFT, additional options appear in the pop-up.

Placing Edit Points with Your Mouse

To place an edit point with your mouse:
1. Click the mouse at the desired time location in the project. A dotted vertical line
appears. This is called the “position line.”
2. Click the right mouse button on the track playlist. The Edit Pop-Up menu appears and
offers a variety of options.
3. Drag to the name of the desired edit point so that it’s highlighted in the pop-up
menu.
4. Click the left mouse button—the selected edit point is set. You can see its flag
(Page 236) at the top of the position line above the playlist.

Selecting a Track with Your Mouse

To select a track with your mouse, click the track in the playlist, or click the track’s
number to the left of the playlist.

Perform seven of the most

editing operations (Page 246)
select the desired operation from the menu. You can
select only those operations for which the required
edit points have been set.
Switch from region to phrase
editing and back
select PHRASE or REGION, as desired—the
PHRASE•REGION•AUTOMIX button lights in green
(phrase) or red (region)
UNDO select the desired Undo level from the Undo list
(Page 73).
REDO reverse the last Undo operation.
Activate snapping to a
measures or beats grid
select GRID. Choose the desired grid from the dialog
that appears to activate the grid.
Edit Msg turn on (checked) or off edit messages that are
displayed when you edit audio with your mouse or
perform a TRACK EDIT button operation (Page 248).
