STANDBY button
Turns the unit on or off (standby).
STANDBY indicator
Lights when the power cord is connected and the unit is on standby. When the unit is turned on, the STANDBY indicator goes off.
Disc tray
Used to load discs.
Remote sensor
Receives the signal from the remote control unit.

(OPEN/CLOSE) button
Opens and closes the disc tray.


(SEARCH) buttons
Pressing or during playback reverses or advances playback rapidly. Each press of the button during rapid playback increases playback speed.
Also used for slow motion playback of a picture (for DVD Video/Video CD).
υ (PLAY) button
Starts playback. Also, used as a SELECT but- ton for PBC of Video CDs.

Stops playback.
Also used to erase all programmed tracks for the program play.
II (PAUSE) button
Pauses playback.



(SKIP) buttons
Used to skip a chapter, title or track. Also used for the page selection of a menu screen (for DVD Video/Video CD).
Holding down during playback re- verses or advances playback rapidly.
B
Light to indicate the type of disc loaded into the disc tray. There is no indicator when an Audio CD is loaded
Multi-Information Display
One or more of these indicators light when the corresponding function is activated.

Shows the cumulative or remaining time of the track or disc, or the total disc time.
Chapter, Title, Track Indicator
Displays chapter, title, or track number.
