Scongelamento

Le microonde sono un ottimo mezzo per scongelare cibi surgelati. Consentono infatti di scongelarli delicatamente e in breve tempo. Ciò può risultare molto utile, ad esempio in caso di ospiti inattesi.

Il pollame surgelato deve essere accuratamente scongelato prima della cottura. Rimuovere le eventuali fascette metalliche ed estrarre gli alimenti dalla confezione per consentire di eliminare il liquido prodotto dallo scongelamento.

Collocare il cibo surgelato su un piatto senza coperchio. Girare gli alimenti, eliminare il liquido e rimuovere le rigaglie non appena possibile. Controllare di tanto in tanto gli alimenti per assicurarsi che non siano caldi. Se le parti più piccole e sottili degli alimenti surgelati iniziano a riscaldarsi, proteggerle con piccole strisce di alluminio.

Se la superficie esterna dell’alimento inizia a riscaldarsi, interrompere lo scongelamento e attendere 20 minuti prima di continuare.

Lasciare riposare pesce, carne e pollame per completare lo scongelamento. Il tempo di riposo per ottenere uno scongelamento completo varia a seconda della quantità. Per maggiori informazioni, consultare la tabella sottostante.

Suggerimento: Gli alimenti sottili si scongelano meglio di quelli spessi, così come quantità inferiori richiedono meno tempo rispetto a quantità più consistenti. Ricordare questo suggerimento quando si surgela e scongela il cibo.

Per scongelare cibi surgelati con una temperatura inclusa tra -18 e – 20 °C, utilizzare la seguente tabella come riferimento.
