5.4 ISDN BRI Lines (Figure 5-3)

The DCS-816 system requires MDF connection for ISDN BRI (Basic Rate Interface) lines. The

system has a trunk expansion slot where a 4BRI card or a 2BRI card can be installed. All

connections for ISDN BRI lines can be done through the champ connector on the base board.

See Figure 2-3 and refer to section 2.5 (MDF Cabling).

Use two pair twisted wires and connect each BRI line to the trunk port of your choice via the

champ connector on the base board.
