Uso di tempi di posa rapidi

Aprendo il diaframma (diminuire il valore di apertura)

Risulteranno sfocati gli oggetti più vicini e più lontani rispetto al soggetto a fuoco.

Quando si mette a fuoco un soggetto l'ambiente circostante risulterà sfocato.

Chiudendo il diaframma (aumentare il valore di apertura)

Aumenta l’estensione del campo nitido davanti e dietro al soggetto a fuoco.

Se si usa un valore di apertura elevato, sia il soggetto che l'ambiente circostante risulteranno a fuoco.
