Recording a video

In Shooting mode, you can record Full HD videos (1920X1080) by pressing (Video recording). The camera lets you record a video up to 20 minutes in length at 30 fps, and saves the files in MP4 (H.264) format. The sound is recorded via the camera's microphone.

When you use a lens that does not have an AF/MF switch while recording a video, press [F] to deactivate or activate the AF function. When you use the lens that has an AF/MF switch, the AF function works according to the switch’s setting.

Select Fader to fade in or out a scene. You can also select Voice or other options to set recording options. (p. 99)

1Rotate the mode dial to t, P, A, S, M, or s.

This feature may not work in some modes.

2Set the desired options.

3Press (Video recording) to start recording.

The camera will retain the shutter speed and aperture value that you have set before starting shooting.

4Press (Video recording) again to stop.

You can also press [Shutter] to stop recording.
