Two-Touch Dialing

Memory locations 10 through 99 are special Two-Touch dialing locations.

Example: For location number 13, briefly press Three-Touch Dialing, then press and hold Pause Dialing From a Contacts Entry until the name and number appear in the display and the number is dialed.

Three-Touch Dialing

Memory locations 100 through 999 are special Three-Touch dialing locations.

Example: For location number 113, briefly press Making a Call — Quick Search Dialing, briefly press Quick Search Dialing a Contact again, then press and hold To find and dial a Contact, do the following: until the name and number appear in the display and the number is dialed.

Pause Dialing From a Contacts Entry

If you speed dial a contact that contains (two-second) P pause(s) simply wait for the pauses to pass and the dialing to complete.

If you speed dial a contact that contains (hard) W pause(s), wait for the appropriate prompt(s) from the number you are calling (credit card number, bank account number, and so on) and enter the appropriate response(s).

Making a Call — Quick Search Dialing

While in standby mode, you can use the Quick Search feature to find and dial any of your Contacts entries by entering the first few letters of a Contact name. (For more information, refer to “Quick Search” on page 123.)

Quick Search Dialing a Contact

To find and dial a Contact, do the following:

1.In standby mode, enter the first few letters of the Contact name, as shown. (For more information, refer to “Entering Text” on page 15.)

2.Press the Up navigation key. The Contacts Find screen appears showing the desired Contact name, as shown.
