1.Appuyez sur le bouton du lecteur CD-ROM pour ouvrir le tiroir. (N’appuyez pas sur le tiroir, il ne supportera pas un poids trop important.)

Ne placez aucun objet réfléchissant autre que des CD dans le logement du disque afin d'éviter tout risque d'émission de rayonnement laser. Le rayon laser utilisé par ce lecteur de CD-ROM est dangereux pour les yeux. N'essayez pas de démonter le lecteur de CD-ROM.

Confiez les interventions techniques à votre centre de service technique agréé.

Ne touchez pas la lentille du CD car vous risqueriez d’endommager le périphérique.

Il peut arriver que le tiroir se coince. Dans ce cas, dépliez un trombone et glissez-le dans l'orifice d'éjection forcée situé sur la face avant du lecteur de CD-ROM et enfoncez-le jusqu'à éjection du tiroir.

Le témoin (LED) du tiroir du lecteur est allumé lorsque l'ordinateur est en train de lire un CD. Ne retirez pas le disque tant que ce témoin est allumé.

Pour nettoyer un CD, essuyez-le à l'aide d'un chiffon propre et sec, dans un mouvement en spirale, du centre vers l'extérieur.

Retirez le CD une fois le témoin de mise en marche du lecteur éteint.

2.Insérez un CD, étiquette vers le haut (ou retirez un CD, lorsque vous ne l’utilisez plus).

3.Poussez délicatement sur le tiroir pour le refermer.

Installez et/ou démarrez un programme sur CD-ROM comme vous le feriez pour un programme sur disquette.
