Face Unlock Options

These options are available when Screen lock is set to Face unlock or Face and voice:

•Lock screen widgets: Lock the widgets that are displayed on your home screens.

•Improve facial recognition: Improve your device’s face matching capability by capturing your face in different lighting, with or without glasses, and bearded or clean-shaven. Follow the on-screen instructions.

•Presence check: Requires that you blink when using the Face unlock feature. This increases the security of the feature.

•Make pattern visible: See the pattern as you draw it.

•Secured lock time: Set how long to wait before your device is locked after the screen automatically turns off.

These options are available when Screen lock is set to Pattern:

•Lock screen widgets: Lock the widgets that are displayed on your home screens.

•Make pattern visible: See the pattern as you draw it.

•Secured lock time: Set how long to wait before your device is locked after the screen automatically turns off.

PIN and Password Options

These options are available when Screen lock is set to Pin or Password:

Security

Encryption

To require a numeric PIN or password to decrypt your tablet each time you power it on:

1.From the Settings screen, touch Security.

2.Touch Encrypt device. For more information, read the displayed help screen.

Tip: Make sure your battery is charged more than 80 percent. Encryption takes an hour or more.
