Your camera takes two photos with different exposures, and then overlays the bright area of the underexposed photo and the dark area of the overexposed photo.

t The smart range effect may be affected by camera shake, lighting, movement of the subject, and the shooting environment.

t When taking photos at night, slow the ISO sensitivity to reduce noise in your photos.

t When taking photos, use a tripod to prevent blurry photos.

t It may take longer to save a photo with the smart range effect. t When you use the smart range effect, the preview image on the

screen and the captured photo may appear slightly larger than a photo captured without this effect.

1 In Shooting mode, press [m].

2 Select a “ Smart Range.

3 Select an option.

Option Description

Off: The smart range effect is off.

On: The smart range effect is on.
