Navedeni simboli predstavljaju uputstva za održavanje odeće. Etiketa za održavanje uključuje četiri simbola u navedenom redosledu: pranje, izbeljivanje, sušenje i peglanje i ako je potrebno hemij sko čišćenje. Upotreba simbola omogućava usklađenost između domaćih i stranih proizvođača odevnih predmeta.
