High Density Scalable Matrix Switcher

SANYO's Matrix Switcher MX Series is a modular security system based on a microprocessor and supports up to 1,024 inputs and up to 96 outputs with a single matrix system. A large number of video inputs (10,000) and outputs (1,000) can be controlled from a single controller.

General

The modular design of the Matrix Switcher makes it easy to expand the system to a maximum of 16 cards.

Both 4U and 8U rack-mount housing is available for the switcher with a single 4U bay holding 112 video inputs and 16 outputs.

Modular Construction

The Matrix Switcher is easily expanded using slots for expansion modules. The housing holds up to 16 cards.

Multi-Protocol Support (SSP-Compatible)

The Matrix Switcher is controllable from SANYO VSP-9000 or any other SSP-compatible control device. By using the new Touch Panel Controller with user-friendly graphical user interface, the user can easily control and set up the Matrix Switcher. At the same time, the controller can be used to control other devices supporting SSP protocol, such as SANYO dome cameras, multiplexers, DVRs and VCRs. Integration of other devices can be also achieved by the use of an optional SSP receiver.

SSP Control System

Control

Use one of the following options to control the Matrix

Switcher.

1.VSP-9000 controller or any other SSP-compatible controller

2.Any PC on the same network as the matrix via a TCP/IP connection. The control software is included in the package.

3.Using the optional custom-made software with a graphical map interface. This software needs to be installed in a PC, from which control is performed through a TCP/IP connection.

Network Support and LAN

The Matrix Switcher can be controlled by using a TCP/IP connection, either

Camerafrom a touch panel controller or a PC and existing networks.

Timer Functions

It is possible to program over 100 camera and monitor tours individually.

Speed Dome Camera

Alarm Management

With an optional order, the system comes with an external alarm input for

each camera and an external alarm output for each monitor. Each alarm signal can be configured to call any camera to any monitor, to put a dome camera to any preset position, or to start tours or sequences.

Option

The Matrix Switcher also supports

Pan/Tilt/Zoom or dome cameras from different

manufacturers. This makes the switcher

highly compatible and allows the user to

integrate existing cameras into a new system.

Either a fixed camera or a Pan/Tilt/Zoom

camera may be connected to each video

input.

The RS-485 bus system supports up to 128

matrix units on a single bus. The number of

Matrix Switchers that can be controlled using

the TCP/IP protocol for LAN or WAN networks

is almost unlimited.
