Installing the Printer Driver and Software

This manual assumes that you are familiar with general Windows procedures and practices. If you are not, see the documentation that comes with Windows for details.

Note

❒In this manual, “CD-ROM” refers to the “Printer Drivers and Utilities” CD- ROM that comes with the machine unless specified otherwise.

Important

❒Before starting the installation, close all documents and applications. In a net- work environment, make sure that users who are logged on are disconnected.

❒After installing a printer driver, you must restart the computer.

❒Use the appropriate language on the CD-ROM folder: ENGLISH (English), DEUTSCH (German), FRANCAIS (French), ITALIANO (Italian), ESPANOL (Spanish), NEDRLNDS (Dutch).

❒The languages displayed in the WSMHLP folder (Web Status Monitor Help) in the Help folder on the CD-ROM are as follows: DE (German), EN (English), ES (Spanish), FR (French), IT (Italian), NL (Dutch).
