Tessuti scuri e pesanti, tende, tappeti/moquette, legno e rivestimenti delle pareti assorbono la luce. La ricezione perfetta è garantita solo nel campo visivo diretto del trasmettitore a raggi infrarossi.

L’intonaco rustico e i rivestimenti in rilievo delle pareti riflettono la luce in modo irregolare e possono ostacolare la distribuzione uniforme del segnale infrarosso.

Pareti lisce e chiare, piastrelle lucide e specchi riflettono molta luce e contribuiscono alla distribuzione della luce infrarossa nella stanza.
