CLEANING THE TURB O BRUSH
1 Slide the locking latch (a) for ward and gently tilt
brush housing upward to open. (Fig. 25)
IMPO RTANT: DO N OT force; it will not open all
the way.
2 Carefully remove any bloc kage or debris.
3 Turn the turbo brush over to in spect the rotating
brush and cut away any build-up of hair o r string
wrapped around the rotating b ristle brush with
scissors. (Fig. 26)
4 Push th e housing back down and slide the lo cking

CLEANING THE POST-MOTOR HEPA FILTER
1 Remove the filter c over. (Fig. 22)
2 Take out the HEPA filter by pulling it straight out.
3 Turn the filt er over so that the dirty side is o n
the bottom and vigorously ta p it clean against a
garbage can to remove any dust. (Fig. 23)
4 Wash the filter under the tap usi ng lukewarm
water with the dirty side fac e down until the water
runs clear. (Fig. 24)
5 Allow the filter to air dry for 24 hours. Do not use
a hair dryer or other heating meth ods to dry.
6 Once the HEPA filter is dry, replace it ba ck into the
vacuum.
7 Replace the cover by inserting the two t abs into
the holes at the top and then swingin g the cover
down until it clicks into place.
