CLEAN THE FILTER

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CLEANING THE FILTER

If the filter is clogged with dust, the amount of air flow will be reduced, resulting in poor cooling performance. The filter should be cleaned every10 days. At the beginning of every cooling season or after a long period of inactivity, clean the filter before starting the unit.

1 REMOVE THE FILTER

Gently pull the filter handle to the right and slide the filter out from the unit.

2 To remove dust from the filter, use a vacuum cleaner or wash it in clean water.

If the filter is very dirty, wash it with detergent and rinse carefully with clean water. Dry the filter with a soft cloth.

Do not expose the filter to heat or dry it in direct sunlight.

3 RE-INSTALL THE FILTER Align the filter behind the front panel.

Grasp the filter handle and gently push the filter back into place.

Never operate the unit without installing the filter. It may result in serious damage to the unit.

CLEANING OF THE FRONT PANEL AND CABINET

To clean the front panel and cabinet, wipe with a soft, dry cloth or with a cloth moistened with a mild soap. Rinse carefully by wiping with a damp cloth and dry completely.

Avoid splashing the unit with water. Excess water can damage electrical insulation and result in danger.

Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on any part of the unit. To avoid damage to the unit, do not use hot water (120°F(50°C) or more) when cleaning.

OILING OF THE COMPRESSOR AND FAN MOTOR IS UNNECESSARY

The compressor is permanently lubricated and is hermetically sealed. The fan motor is lifetime sealed and does not require oiling.

These models stand out for their advanced features, energy-efficient technologies, and user-friendly design, making them ideal choices for maintaining a comfortable indoor climate.

One of the key characteristics of the AF-R series is its powerful cooling and heating capabilities. With cooling capacities range from 10,000 to 14,000 BTU/h, these units can effectively manage temperatures in medium to large spaces. The AF-R140CX, being the most robust of the trio, delivers exceptional performance, while the AF-R120CX and AF-R100CX offer slightly reduced capacities suitable for smaller areas.

All models in this series incorporate Sharp’s innovative Plasmacluster Technology, which not only cools or heats the air but also purifies it. This technology releases ions that help to neutralize harmful airborne particles, including allergens, bacteria, and mold, ensuring that the air in your home is not just comfortable but also healthy.

Energy efficiency is another hallmark of the Sharp AF-R series. Each model is equipped with an inverter compressor that automatically adjusts the cooling or heating output based on the room’s requirements. This feature not only helps maintain a consistent temperature but also significantly reduces energy consumption, resulting in lower electricity bills.

User convenience is prioritized in the design of these air conditioning units. They come with a remote control, allowing for easy operation from anywhere in the room. Some models also feature a programmable timer that enables users to set specific cooling or heating schedules, enhancing both comfort and energy savings.

Furthermore, the AF-R series is designed with a sleek, modern aesthetic that fits seamlessly into any interior decor. Their compact size makes installation straightforward, and the units operate quietly, contributing to a peaceful environment.

Overall, the Sharp AF-R140CX, AF-R120CX, and AF-R100CX models exemplify the fusion of style, efficiency, and advanced technology, making them top contenders in the air conditioning market.
