MD Recording

Recording to a MiniDisc from a CD

Recording on the top position of a

recorded MiniDisc

When the recor ding is finished, the top position mode will be cancell e d.

The recorded track will be the first tra ck on the MiniDisc.

All the tracks pre v iousl y recorded will be renumbered.

Note:

Whilst in the pause mode or recording, the top position mode cannot be set or

cancelled.

Adjusting the recording level

You can adjust the recording le vel depending on the recording source by watc hing the

level meter.

To stop recording:

Press the MD button.

The MiniDisc will stop.

The CD will continue playback.

1Prepare for recording.

To record from a CD: To record from the radio:

Load the desired CD and a recordable

MiniDisc. Tune in to the desired station and load

a recordable MiniDisc.

2Press the TOP POSITION button.

One more press will cancel the top position mode.

3Start recording.

To record from a CD: To record from the radio:

Press the HIGH or NORMAL button. Press the MD button after pressing

the REC button.

1Press the CD button.

2Press the or button to select the desired track.

3Press the REC MODE button to select the recording mode.

4Press the CD button to start playback.

5Press the REC button to pause recording.

6Press the REC LEVEL/CURSOR or button to adjust the record-

ing level.

Level meter Recording level

Maximum level should not exceed "0dB".

The recording level can be adjusted in 2dB intervals between -4dB and +10dB.

7Press the CD button.

8Press the or button again to select the desired track to be

recorded.

9Press the CD button again to start recording.

0dB -4dB ··· +10dB
