Input function

Input function

The input function is activated when names or call num- bers are entered or edited, e.g. new entries in the direc- tory.

The input field

The lines in the input field are divided for entries or edits as follows:

Line 1 for "name" (16 characters)

Lines 2 and 3 for "content" (32 characters)

If the entry or edit is only made in the "content" lines, the "name" line remains empty or contains information such as the redial number.

Adding, deleting, and moving characters

Adding

Characters are always added to the left of the input prompt.

Deleting

Characters to the left of the input prompt are deleted by pressing the X display key.

Moving

The input prompt is moved using the < and > dis- play keys.

Moving from the "name" line to the "content" lines
