EXPOSURE COMPENSATION

If you want to intentionally overexpose or underexpose the picture, use this function.

While pressing the Exposure Compensation button, turn the “C”-dial to set the desired compensation value. Then, release the Exposure Compensation button.

The LCD panel will show “ 0.0” when you initially press the exposure compensation button. The “ ” indicates overexposure, and “ ” indicates underexposure.

Exposure compensation can be set in 1/3EV increments from +3.0 to –3.0 stops.

For example, if you set +1.0 then the shutter speed will be one stop slower in Aperture Priority mode. In Shutter Speed Priority mode, the aperture will be one-stop larger (smaller F-number). In the case of Program mode, the shutter speed will be 0.5 stop slower and the aperture will increase 0.5 stop.

CAUTION !!

Once you set the Exposure Compensation, the camera will continuously hold this

mode, until the compensation amount is set to 0.0 value.

Exposure compensation function cannot be used with Manual Operation mode.
