Note: Adjustments to the following bolt & screws can be done using the small end of arbor wrench (see page 24) or a 10 mm wrench (see page 7).

2.Align flats on inside of speader support assembly 13 with flats on end of pivot rod 7 located on back side of table 8 and fasten to pivot rod 7 using the 1/4-20 x 2" long hex bolt 16, 1/4" external tooth lockwasher 15 and flat washer 14 (Fig. 15).

3.Remove flanged hex bolt 21 and remove clamping plate 22. (Fig. 16).

4.Position spreader 6 over bumps 9, then position clamping plate

22over bumps 9 and securely tighten flanged hex bolt 21. (Fig. 16).

IMPORTANT: The Spreader 6 must always be IN LINE with the sawblade 10. The spreader 6 is thinner than the width of the KERF 11 by approximately three thicknesses of paper 18 on each side of the spreader 6 (Fig. 19).

5.Loosen hex nut 20, then flanged hex bolts 23 with the 10 mm open end wrench. Loosen set screw 19 with a flat tip screwdriver. (Fig. 18).

6.Place rip fence 2 on table, lift up ANTIKICKBACK PAWL and CAREFULLY move fence 2 against the blade so that it is parallel to the blade, and just touches tips of saw teeth 10, and lock fence 2 in this position (Fig. 18).

7.Make two folds in a small piece (6" x 6") of ordinary newspaper making three thicknesses (Fig. 17). The folded paper 18 will be used as a “spacing gauge” (Fig. 18).

8.Insert folded paper 18 between SPREADER and FENCE. Hold spreader firmly against fence (Fig. 18).

9.First lightly tighten the flanged hex bolts 23 and then the set screw 19. Recheck squareness of spreader to table and parallelism to blade. Readjust if necessary.

10.After proper alignment adjustment is made, tighten hex nut 20 and securely tighten flanged hex bolts 23.

NOTE: Always be sure the spreader stays in line with blade when the blade is tilted at any angle.
