The TigerSwtich 1000 is designed to consolidate your network core providing high-bandwidth connections between workgroup switches and server farms. Some typical applications are described in this section.
Backbone Consolidation
The TigerSwtich 1000 can consolidate a switched network backbone down into a single efficient bridged node, increasing overall bandwidth and throughput.
In the figure below, the 1000BASE-T ports on the TigerSwtich 1000 are providing 2 Gbps full-duplex connectivity to TigerSwitch 10/ 100 stacks and high-volume servers.
