Mode PoE/Link Button

The Mode PoE/Link button is located on the front panel.

The Mode PoE/Link button is used to toggle between the two port status LED display modes (see "Port and System Status LEDs" on page 1-3). Pressing this button changes from one display mode to the other. The default display mode is Link/Act/Speed mode.

Optional Redundant Power Unit

The switches support an optional Redundant Power Unit (RPS) that can supply power to the switch in the event of failure of the internal power supply**.

Power Supply Socket

The power socket is on the rear panel. The standard power socket is for the AC power cord. The receptacle labeled “RPS” is for the optional Redundant Power Supply.
