8.INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE
8.1Fitting the appliance in the top
This appliance is in class 3. The procedures required below must be carried out by a skilled builder and/or joiner.

8.1.1 Fixing to the supporting structure
To install the appliance the opening “B” and the holes “A” shown in figure 1 must be made in the top; see figure 2 for the relative dimensions and distances. The foam rubber strip “C” (Fig. 1) is supplied with the appliance, and must be fixed with its adhesive side facing towards the supporting surface. The area inside the dotted line marks the external dimensions of your appliance. Make sure that there is at least 750 mm between the hob burners and any shelving placed vertically above them (Fig. 3). If the top is more than 20 mm thick, the hole required to install the hob is shown in figure 4.
