If the system still does not operate properly after performing the above measures, reset the system as follows:

1Disconnect the mains lead.

2Reconnect the mains lead.

3Press ?/1 to turn on the system.

4Press SPEAKER OUT MODE and SOUND FIELD + on the unit and move SA-CD/DVD lever on the unit to x at the same time.

The system is reset to the factory settings except for DVD settings. You should set the settings you made, such as the preset stations, clock, and timer.

To return the DVD setup to the default settings*, perform reset as follows:

1Press DVD SETUP in stop mode.

2Press v or V repeatedly to select “RESET”, then press ENTER.

3Press v or V repeatedly to select “YES”, then press ENTER.

It takes a few seconds to complete. Do not press ?/1 when resetting the system.

Messages

One of the following messages may appear or flash in the display during operation.

DVD/VIDEO CD/CD/Super Audio CD/MP3/JPEGCannot Play

A disc that cannot be played was inserted (page 5).

A disc with an unsupported Region code was inserted.

Data Error

The JPEG file is an unsupported format.

DVD No Disc

There is no disc in the player.

Eject

The DVD player is ejecting the disc.

No Disc

There is no disc in the player.

Not in Use

You pressed an invalid button.

PASSWORD

Custom Parental Control or Parental Control is set.

Play Limit

The MP3 file cannot be played.

Please Wait

The function is switching to the DVD.

Push STOP!

You pressed PLAY MODE during play.

Reading

The system is reading TOC information of the disc. Some buttons are not available.

RESUME

You stopped play with Resume Play activated (page 15).

Step Full!

You tried to program 26 or more tracks (steps).
