Playing groups

1In step 1 of “Changing Playback Options (PLAY MODE)” (page 22), select “” or “ SHUF.”

2Turn the VOL +/– control to select a group.

If you select a group on an MP3 CD, etc. by searching through all the directories, turn the operation dial toward or

.

If you select a group within the same directory, turn the VOL +/– control.

3Press for 2 seconds or more.

The player starts playback of all files in the group you have selected.

On the CD player

1Perform steps 1 and 2 of “Changing

Playback Options (PLAY MODE)” (page 22). In step 3, select “GROUP” or “GROUP SHUFFLE” and press on the jog lever.

2Flick the jog lever toward /to select a group.

3Press on the jog lever for 2 seconds or more.

4When “REPEAT” appears, select “ON” or “OFF” and press on the jog lever.

Note

If the group has no tracks, “Invalid” appears on the display.

Playing your favorite

tracks (Bookmark play)

1During play of the track to which you want to add a Bookmark, press

and hold on the remote until flashes slowly.

2If you want to add a Bookmark to two or more tracks, repeat step 1.

You can add Bookmarks to up to 10 CDs for audio CDs (up to 99 tracks for each CD) and up to 5 CDs for ATRAC CDs/ MP3 CDs (up to 999 tracks for each CD).

3In the step 1 of “Changing Playback Options (PLAY MODE)” (page 22), select (BOOKMARK).

4Press .

On the CD player

1During play of the track to which you want to add a Bookmark, press on the

jog lever until

flashes slowly.

2If you want to add a Bookmark to two or more tracks, repeat step 1.

3Press DSPL/MENU until the menu screen appears.

4Flick the jog lever toward /to select “PLAY MODE,” and press .

5Flick the jog lever toward /to select “BOOKMARK,” and then press .

To remove Bookmarks

During play of a track with a Bookmark, press and hold on the remote until disappears. (On the player, press and hold on the jog lever.)

Notes

•If you try to add Bookmarks to tracks on an 11th CD (on a 6th CD when playing ATRAC CDs/MP3 CDs), the Bookmarks of the CD you played first will be erased.

•All Bookmarks stored in memory will be erased if you remove all power sources, or if you continue playing the player on the rechargeable battery while “Lo Batt” is displayed, without charging the battery.
